CNC machinist

The role

You own set-up and production on machining centres. Programming or program edits, tools, offsets, dimensional checks.

Three years and up is the target. A senior who can coach a colleague is welcome.

What you will do

• Run set-ups (tools, fixtures, offsets) and validate the first piece
• Machine to drawings and tolerances, edit the program when needed
• Check dimensions (caliper, micrometer, indicator, sometimes CMM)
• Flag tool wear and drift before scrap
• Keep the station and document changeovers

Profile we look for

CNC programming or set-up, drawing reading, about 3 years of experience.

Machining DEP strongly preferred. Autonomy on a centre is expected.

Assets

• Fanuc / Haas / Siemens
• Multi-axis experience
• Tight quality-control habits

• Permanent full-time role, day shift
• Pay: $30 to $38/hr
• Technical parts, a real machining trade
