Welder-fitter

The role

You fit and weld metal assemblies (MIG/TIG depending on the station). The work is concrete: prep, tack, weld, grind, visual check.

Competency cards are an asset. They want someone who respects parameters and does not send a doubtful part downstream.

What you will do

• Read drawings, bills of materials and welding procedures
• Prep, tack and weld (MIG/TIG) to instruction
• Visually inspect joints and rework what does not pass
• Fit assemblies within the required tolerances
• Keep the station orderly and follow shop safety rules

Profile we look for

MIG/TIG already practised, blueprint reading, at least intermediate level.

DEP or competency cards are a clear plus. Recent work quality is also assessed.

Assets

• CWB / competency cards
• Structural or manufacturing experience
• Technical English

• Permanent full-time role, day shift
• Pay: $28 to $34/hr depending on cards and experience
• Structured shop, varied parts
